Description
a rose next to a fountain in Villajoyosa, Spainno fancy equipment, just my average Olympus digital camera
**edit: Thanks for the comments and suggestions everyone! I cropped the photo the way most people suggested and linked it as edit 1. Since I felt the same as Phill (I love having the water in the background) I also cropped it the way he suggested and linked that as edit 2.

Agree on those overexposed areas which has already been mentioned.
The background is making the composition rather busy.
I'd try to crop off that top part.

The background is just stunning and for me makes this really stand out from the run-of-the-mill rose pictures. The balance of colours between the rose and the water is totally sumptuous.
Having said that... I would crop in a lot tighter, but from the bottom. removing the stem to just below the lower petal, and in from the left to just include the rose bud. That would throw all the attention onto the rose itself with that marvelous background setting it all off.
